Does anyone have any definitive information on whether H.O.M.S.I. has
an authentic lineage, or authority to initiate, in the Golden Dawn
tradition? They like to avoid the subject, but after intense
questioning, I was told that they have the authority to initiate via
the Alpha et Omega that has no associations to any "oath breakers" such
as Crowley or Regardie (in their opinion). Your factual comments are
welcome; I'm not looking for further rumor-mongering!

Here is the truth about the Hermetic Order of the Morning Star
International.

1. it was started in 1991 under the name Eternal Circle of Light.
by four people .
1. Robert Anthony Zink
2. Sonya Neiman
3. John Brawl
4. Zack Ramsey

Around 1994 we changed the name to Eternal Golden Dawn, this was an
effort to attract members to the order, Using the Golden Dawns
Credibility. We added Eternal to the name in an effort to show the we
are part of the Golden Dawn current. Past, Present and Future.

    authority to initiate?

Sure as much as the next guy. or Chick Cicero, David Griffin, Etc..
At one time I believe they had "Astral Contacts" most likely the same
ones Samuel Little MacGregor-Mathers had. But that was a long time ago.
I don't know if the new Adepti of the Order have tapped back in the
true currents of the Golden Dawn and regained what we had lost.

Greed and Averist became out new guides and we acted accordingly.
This is why we FAILED. After my term as temple Hierophant, I feel the
ensuing Hierophants Lost the power to confer true Initiation upon the
candidates. Thus the order of light which we started withered and died.
The Light of the Golden Dawn Went out. The ones who sleep through the
twilight and awaken at night, consumed the light we had and filled us
with a darkly splendid Light that shined but cast no light.

I was told that they have the authority to initiate via the Alpha
et Omega

This is a outright Lie as the war with Scott Fineberg escalated we
needed a new line of defense.
He was attacking us on the net and in local occult stores. Saying that
we did not have lineage to the true Golden Dawn.(true) Robert and a few
of us set down and devised a plan of attack.
The plan was this.

1. Claim that our lineage came from one of the American temples the
Moina Mathers established after her husband declared her the new Chief
Adept of the order. Information on these temples were at best very
obscure, So it was a good way to fake a Lineage that no one could
trace, Prove or Disprove.

2. Discredit fallen members and all negative stories of things that
were done to them by the order or happened to them as a result of
being a member in the order.

3. When asked about lineage, say that lineage is not really important.
What is more important is doing the Great Work. But we Do have an
unbroken line of succession to Mathers, and that it is revealed to you
in the higher grades.

This is the complete truth to all of the questions you asked. You can
build an Altar to it or sweep it under the carpet . The choice is
yours.

That being said, this is not a H.O.M.S.I. debate forum.
I have allowed this post to remain here because I have not stated or
mentioned it before.
So I will take the time now to make it clear at this time.

1. Discussions about the Hermetic Order of the Morning Star.
(H.O.M.S.I.)
are better conducted elsewhere on the net.

2. If you are a current member of H.O.M.S.I. and would like to remain
on this forum. you will not be discouraged from participating here,
but please be discreet about your H.O.M.S.I. membership.

3. I will not tolerate the bashing of any Magical System. Any such
posting will be deleted.

Thanks for the G-2; this will help me make a few decisions..... By the
way, was that the Scot Feinburg who was involved with the O.T.O., and
lived out Montclair/Pomona way?
