The idea of the succession of eons is an old one to be sure. The
particular line-up consisting of Osiris-Horus-Ma'at, though, was
derived from the Golden Dawn 0=0 ritual, as you can see by
checking Crowley's "new comment" on III:34. I don't know how he
worked Isis into it, though.

Interesting point, joke or not. I am fairly convinced that the author
of AL was a Golden Dawn initiate from internal evidence.
