To: thelema93-l@nosferatu.cas.usf.edu From: Lawrence Eric ThedenSubject: Re: Gnostic Mass (9406.oto-egc.let) Date: 49940610 From Tau Apiryon, EGC Bishop (from ALnet's HRILIU echo): "Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica survives today as the ecclesiastical wing of Ordo Templi Orientis. It was separated from O.T.O. for a brief time in the late 1970's and early 1980's, but it was reunited with O.T.O. in 1985. It does not exist as a separate organization today, though lay membership in E.G.C. is currently open to both O.T.O. initiates and non-initiates. Its primary activity is the celebration of the Gnostic Mass and other occasional ceremonies, and serving the social and religious needs of its members." So, while I'm nitpicking (we *are* talking about ordination, not lay membership), it's not necessarily true that all EGC members are OTO as well. 93, Larry
