Here is the typical sample.

Subject: Your Satanism Site (or something similar).

SAMPLE FORM LETTER when trying to be friendly.

Date:
From: (CoS official)
To: Whom it May Concern (Who Has a Website regarding Dr.LaVey's Philosophy or etc.)

Dear -----

I was alerted to your site and just browsed through it this morning. It is well designed and rich in graphics and content. You seem to be intelligent and supportive of Anton LaVey's work.

I was curious as to whether you ever became a member of the Church of Satan, and if not, why not?

Best wishes to you in your endeavors.

Hail Satan!

(C/S official)

END OF SAMPLE EMAIL.

If they don't join, they get a harsher version of a form letter. I'm sure MANY could produce samples of their own.

Guess no one better have quotations from Ayn Rand on their website because the Ayn Rand Society might "be alerted" to it and harassed in a similar way.

MORE evidence of the Church of Satan lackies BUTTING INTO people's business. We shall reply to the moron's message in capital letters with the word NOTE: in front. Let them keep doing this.

Well well, well they never seem to leave me alone, nosey ass people always have to be in my business. A very special thanks to Dagona who has already been through my website as our legal advisor. I do not have any Church of Satan Baphomets; I have renderings of baphomet artwork but NO COS BAPHS. Anyway ENjoy, I have already emailed him back .....JUST TO LET PEOPLE KNOW..

ALSO CHECK OUT HIS SITE

http://www.geocities.com/legionofloki/
he is an official COS Grotto.....

Note: forwarded message attached.

The COS Grotto person mailed Brian Nalls this bullshit:

Dear Magister Nalls,

I am curious; your title, "Magister", is a Church of Satan rank, yet on your web page, "Lucifer's Den", I see nothing about your connection to the Church of Satan. In fact, I see no references to the Church of Satan at all. Did I miss them?

NOTE: MAGISTER IS ALSO A TEMPLE OF SET TITLE. YET NO ONE FROM THE TEMPLE OF SET PUT HIS NOSE ANYWHERE. HE'S NOT CURIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING. HE'S CONCERNING HIMSELF WITH THINGS HE BEST NOT BE CONCERNED WITH LEST HE GET HIS NOSE BURNT.

Also, at a few places on your site you make a point to praise Dr. LaVey and _The Satanic Bible_, and yet on your links page, the Official Website of The Church of Satan was conspicuously missing. The Church of Satan was Dr. LaVey's most valuable legacy to the worldwide Satanic Movement -- I don't understand how you can praise him, but completly overlook his creation.

NOTE: THIS IS SIMILAR TO THE "OFFICIAL" FORM LETTER THAT IS NORMALLY SENT OFF BY THE "ADMINISTRATORS" OF THE CHURCH OF SATAN. PEOPLE CAN MENTION ALEISTER CROWLEY TOO AND USE CROWLEY'S IDEAS AND HAVE NO CONNECTION TO THE O.T.O. THEY CAN ALSO USE SETIAN IDEAS AND NOT BE MEMBERS OF THE T.O.S. THIS IS JUST MORE CHURCH OF SATAN SHIT DISTURBING. AND OF COURSE GILMORE CAN BLATHER AROUND THE WORD 'PENTALPHA' AND THAT IS EXCLUSIVELY A WORD HE LEARNED FROM THE DARK DOCTRINES CREW.

Finally I see the Sigil of Baphomet in several places on your site. I'm confused; if you received permission from the Church of Satan to use their trademark (as I know you would not use it without permission), why are you so reluctant to acknowlege the organization which is the fountainhead of modern Satanism?

NOTE: IT IS NOT A TRADEMARK UNLESS THE WORDS "CHURCH OF SATAN" APPEAR. NO ONE CAN COPYRIGHT THE BAPHOMET, ESPECIALLY IF THEY USE ANOTHER FORM OF IT. AGAIN, THE MORON IS NOT CONFUSED; HE'S JUST SHIT DISTURBING.

Sincerely Confused in St. Louis,
