FYI While this documentary may have been
released in 1972, the footage at 6114 California
Street is late-1960s, as is evident from the
interior decor, the absence of the fence in front
of the house, and Anton's wearing of one of the
early black copper enamel/scraffito Baphomets
instead of his 1970+ silver pentagram-and-
lightning-bolt. [You'll also see a brief shot of a
very young Karla LaVey during the ritual
sequence.]

Despite the narrator's cynical comment that
the C/S churned out weddings back-to-back,
that was also not at all the case. Only Church
members could be married, and only in special
cases by Anton personally. This clip obviously
shows a reenactment designed for the camera,
as was the case with _Satanis_, _Witchcraft 70_,
etc.

Room shots in this clip include the entry hall,
the Purple Room (visiting/sitting room), the
kitchen (black walls with monsters on them),
the Red Room (behind the PR's bookcase: Anton's
study & bedroom), and the Main Ritual Chamber
(where the wedding reenactment takes place).
Not included are the Den of Iniquity, the Blue
Room, and the Council Chamber (all in the
basement).

Just to prove that some things *are* immortal,
the IHOP with the blue roof, seen briefly at the
beginning of the clip, is still there on Lombard
Street.
