It's numerically 821 (according to http://www.cs.utk.edu/~mclennan/OM/BA/Isopsephia.html#isops) which is also 11. (This obviously varies depending on your preferred method of calculating.) He was one of several Chthonian deities absorbed into the Cult of Dionysus. He was also referred to as Jupiter Sabazius and Bacchus Sabazius by the later Romans. His worshippers passed a gold snake through their robes across their lap as part of the rites of worship and healing. Sabazius derives either from "sabo" a god of health; or "sevas" reverential awe. The "Sabasia" also linked to him was a festival not unlike the Mithraic Mysteries in which the evolution of the races was performed as a mystery rite. Later revived in Rome it became the Sacra Savidia. Plutarch, believing that the Jews worshipped Dionysus, is the most like origin point for the association of Sabazius with Tsabaoth (or Sabaoth - a gnostic Archon Rather than going on forever, its the magickal name I was given at my Initiation into the Minoan Brotherhood and has considerabled shaped my Witchcraft over the years.... it is however, an 'outer-court' name in Witchcraft at this point - having assumed other inner names over the years, and rather than cause further confusion among Thelemites I am looking at adopting a new name to work with in a Thelemic context.
