sometimes that is the story, yes. parturition usually.

sex preceded all things? doesn't this make more sense seen
as a poetic and wishful projection back into the past?

this is one of the more common themes for Wiccan (Neo-
Pagan?) cosmology. there's a strong het Current in it.
magical tool symbolism seems heavily weighted toward
this bias and it is in some sense transcendentalized.

# What's up?

basically, a lack of evidence and stories that may have
greater popularity within some sectors than others. 
compare tribes/clans with their own manivaried stories 
of the gods in India and the Americas.
