this is one of the first things instructed to me by a Neopagan
(Wiccan) Elder in the SF Bay Area in open coven. she saved bits
of the Cakes and Wine and gave them to the garden and animals.
it was not only seen as a gift but as participation in the
Great Cycle of Life, a kind of reserve of a portion of the
result of the Great Rite just celebrated by the coven for a
return of grateful celebration of our integrity with Nature.
