50040122 vii om Hail Satan!

thewolvarene@hotmail.com (Joshua B):
# The Old Testament speaks of Lucifer by stating:
#
# "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how
# art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For
# thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt
# my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of
# the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the
# heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be
# brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit."

certain bibles do. it's a bad translation in the Vulgate. consult:

only those who serve or worship a spirit are really reliable to
give some reflection on what a being will provide or deny to its
devotees. those who castigate or condemn the spirit or its
worshippers are usually slanting against clear vision of it,
and don't make very good sociologists of religion. the being
called 'Satan' or (amusingly) 'Lucifer' (a name for Venus and
a nickname for the King of Babylon) is no exception.

# The Bible shows a clear Fall in which Lucifer(a created being of light
# - angel) underwent because his plans to dethrone Yehovah ....

it's not really very clear. better to consult pseudoepigrapha like
the Book of Noah or the Book of Enoch to find the 'Fall' story in
quasi-biblical text. otherwise, see clear fictions like Milton or
Dante or some church father.

# Darkness in its entirity is not originated of Satan, but was there
# before his Fall, as he had to have something to "fall into."

usually the condemnatory rhectalick has it that they did the Bad Thing
in refusing to obey the Godfather.
