I practice in the African-American and European traditions of folk
magic, witchcraft, brujeria, hoodoo, powwow magic, conjure, hexenkraft,
stregeria, et al, without respect to coven membership or a specific
religious orientation.

For what it's worth, i do not consider the word "traditional" or
"tradition" to refer to initiatic lineages in the least, not do i think
the term "traditional witchcraft" refers to any religion. .

In the usage i see on the net and locally, a "tradition" or "path" is a
generally respectful term meaning "a coherent system of magic / religion
/ mysticism / spirituality" -- while "traditional" generally means
"archaic" or "not New Age" or "more 'paleo' than 'neo' Pagan."

Also, i particiate in alt.magick regularly, and i would like to note
that although it is chartered for the "scholarly discussion of magic"
without respect to lineage or style, most of the particiants there work
in Hermetic, Ceremonial, and mystical paths, with occasional nods of
friendship to folk magic and traditional witchcraft of various ethnic
and cultural forms.
