To: occultism@egroups.com From: nagasiva@luckymojo.com Subject: Pro-demon Goetic Invocation; Square Diagram (was Armies...) 50001004 Vom nagasiva: >> the sigil consisted of the talismanic elements from Goetic diagrams >> set into a *square* rather than a circle, excluding all of the >> Judeochristian godnames. I later drew (with 'Touch the Earth Potion' >> designed by my niece) four power-names (a semi-random selection from >> a seal I had designed on another occasion, including Pazuzu, Azazel, >> Kali, and Lilith) inside the corners of the square, its orientation >> toward facing West (akin to my altar indoors). the objective was as a >> kind of *target*, since I was intentionally INVOKING rather than >> evoking the daemon. "Brother MOLOCH": > ...would you please elucidate as to why you choose to use a > square instead of a circle? I have a hunch as to your reasoning > but still I'd like to hear it from you. great question. sorry about the delay in my response. the circle is often used by Solomonic and other magicians to protect the evoker from the energies she sends into some receptable, such as a nearby triangle, or some other entity or geometric form. symbolically it represents transcendental and 'higher' energies. one can often see in elemental symbolism the more circular shapes associated with 'ether' or 'spirit' rather than any of the other elements which it is described as transcending. the square is traditionally associated with earth-energies, with whom I associate demons. I intended the ritual to be an invitation and welcoming of the demon in question, and therefore drew a container or target which I thought the demon would enjoy. > I'm thrilled to learn that there is another serious practitioner of > evocational demonic sorcery out there! Yes! I prefer invocation, but otherwise me too! > ...I don't wish to spill the beans as of yet either since I > don't want to water down the rite's effectiveness. so you believe that talking about a ritual beforehand somehow affects its power or success? blessed beast! nagasiva@luckymojo.com (nagasiva) http://www.luckymojo.com/nagasiva.html
