Date: 14 Mar 1997 10:56:48 -0800 49970314 AA1 Hail Satan! uncited: #> You don't need magick. You need to get off your ass, get a job, #> and begin to accrue wealth in an organized way. people who tell me what I need are often idiots, especially when via such a flimsy medium as Usenet. Leigh R Hidell: # I certainly don't intend to get a job, that's going waaaayyy too far. :-) some suggest that there may be particular processes by which we may obtain our heart's desire. certain ordinary elements may or may not be part of the combinatory solution in the manifestation of our desire. if becoming employed in any capacity is too far, then consider the range of alternatives available too you, inclusive of purely magical applications such as candle magick, dedicated bloodworkings, giving offerings to various extraordinary entities in return for monetary security (wealth), subtle-connection workings so as to see the lines of force in the realm of monetary energetics (perhaps enabling you to find treasure or lost funds, discover means to procure free cash, etc.). # After all, Crowley never got one either. I wasn't aware of this, though it wouldn't surprise me. as I remember he did work as a propagandist for the Germans in WWII, so he was definitely 'employed' in this manner. he was also dedicated to the marketing of his writing, which is a kind of 'self-employment', however lucrative. # Altho he was pretty uninhibited about bumming off his rich buddies. I gather that he had a sizeable amount from inheritance, and was at some points not at all bashful about asking for support from others. this is true of many religious and magical people. they can sometimes justify it through the benefits which are made available from the work of the adept, grounding the esoteric discoveries to the common folk, much as investment into the artistic process is an investment into culture and transformational growth for all people. tyagi@houseofkaos.abyss.com nagasiva -------- cc'd to brother Heidrick, who may offer commentary on AC's life -- see http://www.hollyfeld.org/~tyagi/nagasiva.html and call: 408/2-666-SLUG!!! ---- (emailed replies may be posted) ---- CC public replies to author ---- * * * Asphalta Cementia Metallica Polymera Coyote La Cucaracha Humana * * *
