Shall I assume you partake in a raw-food diet? Or, *at least*, your diet excludes refined sugars and caffeine? Otherwise, you are ingesting *drugs*, Mr. "Clean". Foods consist of chemical compounds, even all- natural foods. Food causes the production of chemicals within the body. What is defined as a "drug" is completely arbitrary, based on social and cultural morals. Besides, yoga masters have historically used drugs to enhance their work, whether it's inhaled herbs, ingested foods or through fasting - fasting causes the release of "drugs" within the body. But according to you, causing, say, mao inhibition through ingesting a particular food is somehow acceptable, but ingesting a maoi pill would be bad? You know, some of us depend on "drugs" for survival. So why would taking a drug that slows down my immune system (which is one of the few I have to take) be acceptable but taking a drug that activates an elevated awareness be unacceptable? When you depend on a man-made chemical for survival, it changes your perspective on what is "food" and what is "drug". Everything that is ingested becomes viewed as a bio-chemical tool, and the hypocritical attitudes people have about "drugs" become glaringly obvious.
