the typical method for invoking a demon is to
1) obtain its name by which it may be called
through whatever means may be available to you;
2) sufficiently protect yourself through initiation
and ritual constructs, magical weapon creation, etc.;
and
3) at an appropriate time, repeatedly call in the demon
with the intent that it somehow interact with you,
possess you, or whatever you may have in mind.
the issue of control is usually associated with
* the level of willpower available to bring to bear
in any struggle which may ensue after invocation;
this may be supplemented by timing and preparation;
and * the types and potency of weapons utilized in the rite
which may be blessed by any number of agents, given
association with some divinity or divinities which
you worship, or especially designed as applicable to
to the resistance from domination by the being invoked;
or
* other factors less traditional and conventional (such
as the sources upon which you are drawing for
information and power).
typically the EVOCATION of spirits antithetical to your religion
or mindset ("demons", proper) is the more common course, and then
any containing device or targetted region into which you are
calling the demon (a shewstone, some bottle, a ring, some kind
of geometic triangular figure, etc.) or from which you call
(such as a magical protective circle) become another variable.
blessed beast!
