Huzzah!  At least someone has got the right idea.  If someone wanted to do
a fake Necronomicon, I would recommend buying the Simon edition as a guide
for what NOT to do.  That it is a piece of claptrap should be immediately
apparent to anyone who has seriously studied the occult.

As for good hoaxes of the Necronomicon, have you seen Hay's (Skoob
Esoterica, 1978), and its companion volume The R'lyeh Text (Skoob, 1995)?
This is a wonderful piece of hoaxing which involves actual manuscripts
written by Dee.
