To: alt.horror.cthulhu From: "deanna lindsay"Subject: Necronomicon Hoax (was Re: still: More to read?) Date: 24 Feb 2000 11:13:30 GMT The best Necronomicon hoax outthere ( in my opinion ) is "The Necronomicon - The Book Of Dead Names, edited by George Hay, with an introduction by Colin Wilson." It's published by Skoob esoterica, ISBN 1871438160, first published in Great Britain in 1978. Colin Wilson late wrote an essay on the hoax ( which appeared in Crypt Of Cthulhu #?, and Black Forbidden Things ). It's a great book! Not at all like the cheap Necronomicon paperback spellbook everyone is familiar with. If you didn't know it was a hoax, it could keep you guessing. Worth picking up. thehappycyclops@hotmail.com Stefan Raschke wrote in article <38B173F8.BB9CE73C@ira.uka.de>... > Hi fellows, > > still another question about more brain fodder: > > Which is the best "Necronomicon" - hoax outthere! > > Are those books worth reading? > > Or should I just forget about them? > > > > gruss > > stefan > > -- > > Worte reissen Gefuehle beissen Seele zerrt Leben > > --------------------------------------- > Stefan Raschke -- raschke@ira.uka.de > --------------------------------------- >
