To: alt.magick.tyagi,alt.tarot,alt.magick From: nagasivaSubject: OT: JK, Hostile Published Authors Date: Sun, 26 Jan 2003 00:12:25 GMT >> thanks. I sometimes find it intriguing to attempt to >> find common ground with JK. :> >I "attempted" to, if not find common ground, than at least have an >exchange of points of view, however he seems more and more unable to do >anything more than lash out in written hostility at any one who would >have the audacity to attempt such a thing. I'm sorry to hear that. he appears to be consolidating his written expression in publication of books (translations apparently), and I gather his work is respected by a good cross-section of the tarot community. more power to him in this regard, I say. the phenomenon (not sure if JK qualifies here) of the published author lambasting hir competition in public forums while expressing hirself in print is becoming more and more common. whereas adepts on the Path of the Sublime will be known for their charity, compassion, and kindness, especially to the innocent and the ignorant, caustic hostility in the face of these beauties describes an internal struggle with the substance of knowledge (obsession with it, and relying on the belittling criticism of others to give support to a semblance of inner resolve and self-acceptance). its manifestation may be evidence of the character of any mystical system used by the bully, especially if it seems consistent amongst mystical fanatics using the same system. repeated expressions of this kind of behaviour may indicate certain predispositions in social relationships (e.g. dominating or hurtful people with sour dispositions and a need to be Top Dog). in association with publishing it may arise out of a need to have the Last Word, or be Finally Assessed as Correct due to personal one-upsmanship (what we ask in alt.magick to be taken to alt.magick.dojo). nagasiva
