on the one hand i find that if one is going to study tarot,
one should understand the roots and usages of the symbols.
most of modern tarot cards with pictures on the small cards
are descended from rider waite imagery.  and to understand
that imagery one should understand how the colors, images,
and symbols have qbhlistic correspondences.

on the other hand divination may be a facility independent
of the tools.  one could prolly do a reading with coffee beans
and whip cream.  so in that case tarot symbology could be a
moot point, just a "carrier wave" for the information, a
more complex scrying mirror.  but then one really isn't talking
about tarot per se.

on the thirdd hand modern tarot may be leaving qbhl behind as t's
main thread, and following a more intuitive path that is "artistically"
coherent, but intellectually disturbing.
