I have personally never tried a pendulum for this, but the use of the pendulum is quite old and respected in hoodoo. The weight or plumb-bob is usually a root, not a piece of metal. Queen Elizabeth Root is the most common pendulum i've seen, and it is hung from a red thread. The next most common is John the Conquer Root, usually wrapped up in red thread to make a Jack ball. > for example one time i was in the cemetary and getting a really > strong reaction and pull to this one grave, but when i tried the > pendulum i got a negative. i must have been getting a strong > emotion period, like they didnt approve of what i was doing. i found > another grave tho who was a soldier in WWII as it turns out and got > a positive response to my query, but the initial feeling was more > subtle than the first grave. Great story -- i like to hear how other people work with these spirits. I have noticed that some are not eager to help, but others almost seem to say, "take me! take me!" -- and sometimes, with those, when we get the dirt home we will find little "extras" in it -- a perfectly mummified lizard, for example, or a button, or a small round rock. I keep those in a special place, as gifts from the graveyard. cat yronwode Hoodoo in Theory and Practice -- http://www.luckymojo.com/hoodoo.html Lucky W Amulet Archive --------- http://www.luckymojo.com/luckyw.html Lucky Mojo Spells Archive ------ http://www.luckymojo.com/spells.html
