Not only Cinderella is hidden in diagram #47 :|:||:
of I Ching, but also Alice.
The guide |:|::| is quite the opposite #22 and is
ALBVS, the White Rabbit [ also Neo's guide in Matrix ].
If 22 is ALBEEDO then 47 is NIGREDO.
Both stories begin with a sort of tree and Alice enters
the tree, while Cinderella cries on her mother tomb.
There are versions of Cinderella allright but I remember the
one in which a sad willow and a bird feature as spiritual
symbols. Geomantically we have Carcer as a start figure.
47 insists on the yin introduction as Lao Tzu would a dark
valley. A crippled tree is a symbol of limitation in growth.
Obstacles to the young initiate. Or his Soul, since both
Cindy and Alice are innocent female actors meeting spiritual
guides.
It is funny how the second line alludes to a bizarre party
and table well known to Alice readers. Cinderella has this
sorting task in which birds of spirit help her and she is
also bound to a party. We moved here to the second line of 47.
A prince without a spouse perhaps symbol of an uninitiated Spirit
features in line 3.
The fourth line is a rush since friends come and help with the
pumpkin
chariot. The pumpkin is a symbol of spiritual pregnancy in daoism.
To add a few puns one will observe Alice becoming Queen in 19
reaching the 8th position. Chess has always been a genetic puzzle
for the I Ching.
I hope the reader will discover other alchemical treasures in
this adventures other. I reccomend I Ching translations and
upgrades
by James Legge and Roweena Pattee.
